Founded in 1964, Whatcom Art Guild (WAG) is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering and promoting the visual arts of Whatcom County. WAG is Whatcom County’s oldest continuously running art group and is open to all.

WAG’s purpose is to create an environment for artists to exchange ideas, display and sell their artwork, and access educational resources. Additionally, workshops and other activities, including gallery visits and networking opportunities, are offered throughout the year. 

Memberships are paid annually. General meetings are held each month to discuss upcoming events. You must be a member to take part in activities such as promotional activities, shows, and the Whatcom Art Market. 

As a community service, Whatcom Art Guild sponsors scholarships for art students at Western Washington University.
